Lost in translation

The Art of Translating God's Word

Wednesdays (July 11-25)

6:00pm in Room 205

Why do we have so many Bible translations? Why must ministers learn Hebrew and Greek? Should I learn Biblical Languages? Can I trust my English Translation of the Bible? What is Gender-Inclusive Language?

Perhaps you've raised these questions. Perhaps in your SS lessons, the writer refers to Hebrew or Greek words. Translation from Hebrew to English, Greek to English, and other languages is an art and is not as straightforward as we might think. On Wednesday nights at 6pm during the month of July, we will have some conversations around these issues.
