Our Christian identity is shaped by our shared confession: "Jesus is Lord"

We believe Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He teaches us to live the abundant life - full of joy as we worship the risen Christ and serve other people to the glory of God.

We believe the Bible is the Word of God, written by men divinely inspired. It is the record of God’s revelation of Himself to man. The criterion by which the Bible is to be interpreted is Jesus Christ. With Christ as our guide, example, and interpreter of scriptures we need no other mediator between us and God.

We practice two ordinances given to us by Jesus: Baptism and The Lord's Supper

We believe Baptism and The Lord’s Supper are symbolic celebrations of grace. Believer’s Baptism is an outward expression celebrating new life in Christ. The Lord’s Supper celebrates God’s grace for humanity by Christ’s last supper with His disciples and sacrificial death on the Cross.

Bible Freedom

We affirm the authority of scripture. We believe the Bible, under the leadership of Jesus and the movement of the Spirit, is central in the life of the individual and the church. All people have the right and the responsibility to study and interpret the Bible.

Soul Freedom

We believe in priesthood of the believer and affirm the freedom and right of every Christian to interpret and apply scripture under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We affirm the freedom and responsibility of every person to relate directly to God without the imposition of creed or the control of clergy or government.

Church Freedom

We believe in the autonomy of the local church. Baptist churches are free, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, to determine their membership and leadership, to order their worship and work, to ordain whomever they perceive as gifted for ministry, and to participate as they deem appropriate in the larger Body of Christ.

Religious Freedom

We believe in the freedom of religion, the freedom for religion, and the freedom from religion. We support the separation of church and state.
